1994		New Zealand Youth Jazz Orchestra – NZ Tour – lead alto saxophone Winner of Young Jazz Musician of the Year at the Citizen Birdcage Jazz Competition Attended and performed in Master Classes in Mexico City with Elena Duran and William Bennet Attended and performed in Master Classes and Workshops in Adelaide, Australia with Zdenek Bruderhans.
1993		Attended and performed Master Classes in Stratford – upon – Avon, UK with Elena Duran Semi - Finalist in the Albert Cooper Flute Competition, Elena Duran Flute Course. International Youth Wind Orchestra, Valencia, Spain – 1st solo flute “42nd Street” (Australian Production) – NZ Tour – tenor saxophone, flute and piccolo.
1992		Finalist in the New Zealand Flute Competition held in Christchurch NZ Performance with Ray Charles and the Auckland Philharmonia at Mission Estate Vineyards, NZ - alto saxophone, flute. Attended Master Classes with French flautist, Michel Debost Performed with trumpet player Bobby Shew (USA) – lead alto saxophone
1991		Attended and performed in Master Class with jazz flautist, Paul Horn(USA) Attended Master Class and performed flute works of Richard Rodney Bennet at Auckland University Australian Tour with The Queen City Big Band
1990		Performed with the Auckland Philharmonia for the Commonwealth Games, with Kiri Te Kanawa, Auckland, and NZ - alto saxophone. Commenced full time studies in Classical Performance Flute at Auckland University with Uwe Grodd Performed at the Television New Zealand 1990 Celebrations with Malvina Major. Performed onstage with the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company conducted by William Southgate.
